Born and raised in central Massachusetts, Chris brings a unique perspective and a wealth of experience to the table.
Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in computer science from Villanova University. His early career took him to the prestigious PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served as an IT auditor. Seeking to broaden his impact, he pursued further education at the Fels School of Government at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Masters degree in Government Administration. During his studies, Chris also worked as an internal operations auditor, collaborating with leaders at esteemed institutions such as The Wharton School and The Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania.
Armed with a strong foundation in both technology and governance, Chris delved into the realm of politics. His journey led him to Washington DC, where he played a pivotal role in growing the field of political technology at NGP VAN. In 2011, he co-founded DSPolitical and ultimately as CFO. He contributed to the pioneering efforts in political digital advertising for more effective and efficient voter communication.
In 2017, Chris, like so many of us, discovered the allure of Key West during a brief vacation. Enchanted by the vibrant community and the island's unique charm, he decided to make it his home. Upon settling in Key West, Chris co-founded Duval Street Media, a local marketing firm dedicated to collaborating with locally owned businesses in the Keys.
Chris's commitment to community enhancement is evident through his work with local candidates and organizations striving to improve the quality of life for residents. Notable among these efforts is his involvement with "Safer Cleaner Ships" and the 2020 ballot initiative aimed at reducing the size and number of cruise ships calling on Key West. He also serves on several boards, including Fair Insurance Rates Monroe and the Key West AIDS Memorial.
At home in Key West's Casa Marina neighborhood, Chris shares his life with his husband Eric and their beloved dog, Harper.
